Whether you’re rooting for the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs, or you’re eagerly anticipating Reba McEntire’s rendition of the National Anthem or watching the halftime show featuring Usher, here’s a gentle reminder to mark three essential dates on your love calendar for the upcoming week.
Celebrate Galentine’s Day
First on the list is Galentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 13th. This unofficial holiday is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the bonds of female friendship. Regardless of your relationship status, embracing Galentine’s Day with your loyal tribe of friends is a special occasion. Whether you choose a lunch outing or Happy Hour, please take a moment to appreciate your BFF, send them a Valentine, and make it a tradition to spend this day with your cherished friends.
Find a Date for Valentine’s Day
Moving on to Wednesday, it’s Valentine’s Day, often dubbed the Super Bowl of Love. If you’re still looking for a Valentine, as your online dating expert and dating coach, I recommend logging on to your dating app after the game tonight and again on Monday night during peak dating app activity to maximize your visibility.
Don’t be discouraged by the date; there are countless stories of couples who had their first date on Valentine’s Day, so keep an open heart and mind.
Don’t Forget Singles Awareness Day
Lastly, Thursday, February 15th, is Singles Awareness Day, a day to embrace and celebrate your singledom. Own it, cherish it, and remember that regardless of your relationship status, you are your own number one Valentine.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been quoted in today’s Sunday New York Times, featured in the Style section on page ST-11. The article, titled When A.I. Bridged a Language Gap, They Fell in Love, showcases a beautiful digital love story of a couple who used an A.I. (artificial intelligence) app, and are now happily engaged.
“When people go, ‘Oh, my, we’re dating in an A.I. world — I’m like, ‘Well, who hasn’t used Google Translate?’” said Julie Spira, a cyber dating expert and the author of the memoir “The Perils of Cyber-Dating.” “And so I think that A.I. is part of the dating tool kit.”
As a dating coach who has studied the intersection of love and technology and been in the industry for 30 years, Ms. Spira has watched the digital dating scene shift to include tech in new ways, such as with A.I.-powered dating apps and platforms that enlist A.I. to help users choose better photos.
“I think finding love is a combination of suggestion, through A.I. — whatever form of A.I. you’d like to use — and intuition, trusting your gut,” she said. “We need to realize that just like online dating is no longer online dating — it’s just dating. A.I. dating is also going to be known just as dating, because it’s already in use throughout the dating apps.”
